Winter/Spring Triathlon Swim Training 

 

This Triathlon Swim Training is for all levels!  It is designed to prepare athletes for the type of endurance swimming necessary to compete in long course open water races this spring and early summer.Triathlon Swim Training focuses on freestyle and builds in volume and intensity  to ensure the best swim performance possible on race day. 

 

  The program begins with focus on building base and technique. The length of intervals increases as the season progresses.  When approaching the competition phase of training, swimmers will be able to sustain longer intervals at a desired race pace and focus on developing greater speed.  There are also drills and special training techniques incorporated into most swim sessions making this  a perfect triathlon specific swim training course.  Start the first leg of your triathlon with confidence!

SwimLabs® is a partner with Ironman® and offers our Ironman Certified Coach athletes a super package on fitness swim opportunities in their endless pools. Receive 1 privately coached competitive lesson and a 5 pack of 30 min fitness swims for $220. The coached session will show you all video angles of your stroke so the coach can instruct you on how to make specific and quick adjustments. The 30 min fitness swims are tough! Set your pace and hold it or break the time into intervals. It is the best way to simulate open water swimming!

Deep Dive Clinic Freestyle Fundamentals - Level 1

  Coach Franca hosts this 3 week clinic that “dives deep” into developing a more efficient freestyle stroke.  You cannot take this clinic too many times for a review of technique!  Focus is on kick efficiency, body positioning, 

catch/pull/finish arm work, and breath timing with rotation.  

This class is limited to 15 swimmers and WILL fill completely. Register early.

Deep Dive Clinic Freestyle Fundamentals - Level 2

Level 1 is required before taking Level 2 which moves from basic freestyle technique to technique with power and speed.  

Coach Franca hosts this clinic which incorporates drills that focus on propulsion to get you moving through the water faster with less effort.  Bring paddles, buoy and board.
