Endurance & Stroke Development


 Finish your 2019 race season with endurance swim sets that prepare you for your big fall races and are appropriate for this phase of your training cycle.  

Beginning mid October, the class will focus on freestyle stroke development.  This is the BEST type of training an athlete can do in the "off season" to improve their swimming. 

 ***

 Become more streamline, improve your kick, perfect the rhythm of your stroke and breathing, optimize your pull, learn flip turns, and use your SWOLF to determine your optimum stroke rate.  We will even mix things up a bit and introduce strokes other than freestyle so you learn to move more smoothly through the water.

SwimLabs® is a partner with Ironman® and offers our Ironman Certified Coach athletes a super package on fitness swim opportunities in their endless pools. Receive 1 privately coached competitive lesson and a 5 pack of 30 min fitness swims for $220. The coached session will show you all video angles of your stroke so the coach can instruct you on how to make specific and quick adjustments. The 30 min fitness swims are tough! Set your pace and hold it or break the time into intervals. It is the best way to simulate open water swimming!

Deep Dive Clinic - Open Water Swimming and Sighting Technique

Crossing Current Aquatics

Coach Dorrer provides tips on sighting and navigating open water for your fastest possible swim leg.  Then, swim short course (400 meter) or long course (800 meter) loops for 2 hours of swimming.  Good practice for 70.3 and 140.6 distance events this fall.  

$25 in advance or $30 at the door.

A personally developed on-line training plan for the athlete who wants to specialize in developing speed and endurance in the water. Personalized swim plans also include strength training specific to developing the athlete and as prehab/rehab routines.
